Hello, from the face behind the business!

Hello! I am Jessika, the owner and maker of ByJessikaMae. I am 22, living in the Lake district with my family and 2 dogs, Saffron and Basil.I studied Art and Design at college for 3 years, eventually achieving a Distinction and a Merit. I originally set out selling framed fluid art prints in the pandemic on Facebook, mostly to friends and family and then went onto setting up an Etsy page selling my makes. 

My business was originally called Jessikamaeart, I rebranded to ByJessikaMae in January 2025, as I felt that my brand had moved away from selling just art, as we now sell a range of products from home decor to stationery. I get asked frequently where the name Mae came from, my business name is my first name and second name, which is in honour of my Nanny May. Who I was very fond of and I wanted to pay homage to her.

I also have a Youtube channel where I upload vlogs weekly, documenting how it is running a small business. 

I am also the co founder of Eventsbyshopsmall, which I run with my best friend Mia. Through this business, we organise small business markets, so if you're looking to trade with us get in touch @Eventsbyshopsmall.
